Sinking City is the graduate-run literary journal of the MFA program at the University of Miami. Our magazine is published twice a year.
We encourage submissions of a wide variety of subversive work. While we publish work on any theme or topic, we are especially interested in work focused on our changing, at-risk environment. We are especially interested in bi- or multilingual writing. We also consider pieces written in Spanish.
Please read the guidelines below before submitting. Failure to adhere to our guidelines may result in your submission being returned unread. Please send any questions to sinkingcity@miami.edu.
General Guidelines
Please send one submission per genre. You may submit to multiple genres at a time. Those who submit more than one entry per genre will not be considered.
Please do not mix genres in the same submission.
Simultaneous submissions are welcome & anticipated. Please notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere. If part of or an entire submission must be withdrawn, notify us via email sinkingcity@miami.edu.
